2. Data we collect
We may collect account details, contact details, authentication information, device identifiers, app settings, purchase status, support messages, usage events, crash logs and security logs.
When you use food scanning, logging or wellness features, we may process meal photos, ingredient labels, nutrition records, hydration records, medication reminder settings, goals, preferences and AI conversation content that you choose to provide.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to provide and secure Eatibo, process scans, keep your logs in sync, manage subscriptions, deliver reminders, respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse and improve product quality.
Where required, we rely on consent. Otherwise, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and protecting the rights, safety and security of users and the service.
4. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run hosting, storage, analytics, AI processing, payments, customer support, security, communications and app distribution.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. International transfers
Eatibo may be provided using systems and providers in different countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use safeguards required by applicable data protection law, such as contractual protections or adequacy mechanisms.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and maintaining security.
You can delete certain records in the product. You can also request account deletion or data access by contacting support.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If UK data protection law applies, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
8. Children
Eatibo is not intended for children under 13, or a higher age where local law requires parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your account credentials safe and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, law or our processing changes. We will update the date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
